We recently had the incredible opportunity to visit Marvelous at their Shinagawa headquarters for an exclusive one-hour gameplay preview of Muramasa: Revenant Blades. Right from the first minute, it was clear that this is a visually stunning and mechanically tight action-RPG that breathes new life into the 2D samurai sub-genre.

Gameplay: The Fast-Paced Dance of Spiritual Blades

The core gameplay loop is incredibly fluid and fast. Here are the highlight mechanics we observed during our hands-on session:

• Dynamic Sword Swapping: Players can equip and cycle through three different swords, each tied to a unique spirit that unleashes devastating elemental attacks once your meter is fully charged.
