Low-Poly Pigeons Survive the Remaster

Despite massive graphical overhauls in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered, developer CD Projekt Red has preserved the infamous low-polygon pigeon models for flying birds. Initial confusion arose when updated ground-based pigeon models were discovered, leading players to believe the classic assets were entirely removed. However, observations confirmed that the game utilizes separate models for grounded and flying pigeons, with the low-poly flying birds looking even more distinct under the enhanced lighting systems.

Breaking Steam Records

Commercially and technically, the remaster has launched to massive success, breaking the 11-year-old game's peak concurrent player record on Steam just hours after release, with numbers expected to climb further over the weekend.
